Town supervisors in Hempstead and North Hempstead are suing the Federal Aviation Administration, saying more than 1 million residents are fed up by what's called a radical increase in high-traffic flight paths, noise and air pollution.
As News 12 previously reported, both supervisors called on the FAA to conduct an environmental review of a high traffic flight path back in July. They say the FAA never addressed the concerns.
People in Floral Park say the noise from the planes often disrupts the peace and quiet in their neighborhoods.
