7h agoThe name for Long Island’s new indoor football team has been announced Friday - and it’s a familiar one.
Long Island’s new indoor football team will be named the Dragons. The New York Dragons, of the Arena Football League, played in Nassau Coliseum from 2001 through 2008.
The team’s general manager, Peter Schwartz, says he wants a Long Island head coach and most of the team to be from Long Island.
The season begins in June.
