From Long Island's congressional districts to seats in the senate, the 7th State Senate District is one that has flipped through the years. This time, however, it's staying red. Republican incumbent Jack Martins secured his second term in office after beating Democrat Kim Keiserman.
Rep. Tom Suozzi also picked up a Congressional seat in Nassau after beating Republican challenger Mike Lipetri in the race for the 1st District.
