With a creative mind and a few materials, Teresa Demarco can create the perfect celebration with balloons. She is a balloon artist and started her business, Details to a Tee, in May. She makes custom balloon garlands with her boyfriend at their apartment.
"When people have celebrations - when they need help planning a party, they always go to Teresa," said Teresa. Before turning it into a business, she started making balloon garlands and columns for friends and family. Aside from her business, she works for the nonprofit AHRC Suffolk. The organization advocates for children and adults with intellectual developmental disabilities.
“I advocate for people with disabilities, and then you have to advocate for yourself,” said Teresa. She receives a lot of love and support from her family and friends to continue pursuing her passion as a balloon artist. "It’s a lot of trial and error. I just don’t blow up balloons; there are many more steps." She perfected every detail and tied each balloon with her love and dedication during those steps. "I am confident I can make a balloon creation that will change your event, and I know I can."
