A Bay Shore man is accused of animal cruelty.

The Suffolk SPCA says Bradley Festgerwick threw an older Maltese mix to the floor last month in the bedroom of his home.

Responding officers say the dog had difficulty walking and was brought in for medical treatment.

The 33-year-old is facing misdemeanor animal cruelty charges.

Detectives say a violation of a court order of protection in a domestic violence case was also uncovered during the investigation.
