Gusty winds diminish, with a quiet night and mostly cloudy skies. Lows will be near 40 degrees, with the chance for a brief rain shower overnight. Showers end, with clearing skies Wednesday morning. Expect sun and clouds, with highs near 51 and the slight chance for another spot shower to pass by later in the afternoon. Thursday and Friday look nice and seasonable, with highs in the low 50s and partly sunny skies. Our weather turns unsettled by the weekend, with mostly cloudy skies on Saturday. Showers look to stay north of Long Island before reaching us Sunday into Monday. Temperatures briefly turn a little bit cooler once the rain rolls through early next week. FORECAST:
