2ds agoA Plandome Manor man was arrested Friday for allegedly attacking a police medic while receiving treatment, according to authorities.
Detectives say Nicholas Vulpis, 53, struck the AMT in the leg while being transported to North Shore University Hospital for evaluation. The medic was hospitalized for swelling, bruising and substantial pain.
Police say Vulpis was arrested and charged with assault. He is expected to be arraigned on Saturday.
