Police say a man has died after getting hit by a van in Rockville Centre.

According to police, the 68-year-old was trying to cross Buckingham Road near Princeton Road when he was hit on Monday afternoon.

The man, whose name has not been released, suffered multiple injuries.

The man died at the hospital.

The 77-year-old driver stayed on the scene.
