Police: 2 men wanted for robbing pizza delivery driver in Uniondale

Detectives say the 23-year-old man was making a delivery for Papa John's on Nostrand Avenue around 2 a.m., when two men walked up to him with a black handgun and demanded the food.

Police are searching for two men who they say robbed a pizza delivery driver early Saturday morning in Uniondale. Detectives say the 23-year-old man was making a delivery for Papa John's on Nostrand Avenue around 2 a.m., when two men walked up to him with a black handgun and demanded the food. Police say the suspects struggled with the victim. As the victim ran to his car, detectives say the driver door glass was shattered. The victim was hospitalized with a laceration to his head. Police say an investigation revealed that the glass that was shattered was consistent with a B.B. gun. The suspects are described as two Black males, 5 foot 8 inches tall between 18 and 20 years old wearing all black clothing. Police say the suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction. Detectives ask anyone with information about the crime to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
