Hoboken city officials say they are investigating a ransomware cyberattack at City Hall and are still trying to determine if any information was compromised.
The cyberattack happened overnight, but officials say they only learned about it Wednesday morning.
City Hall was closed for the day and online city services were suspended.
"We actually know which computer was the one where the attack happened and our IT did such a fast job of being able to isolate that from the rest of city hall,” said public safety director Ken Ferrante.
All Hoboken Municipal Court and police-related business have been temporarily moved to Secaucus facilities for the time being.
