The MTA says service has been restored on the Long Island Rail Road's Oyster Bay Branch after a fire that broke near the tracks east of Roslyn suspended service. Firefighters brought the fire on Mimosa Drive in Greenvale under control Friday evening. Officials say it started around 5 p.m. At least 15 departments responded to the scene. Fire officials say about 300 yards of bush were burning and the fire impacted three back roads. They add there were no reported injuries. A cause of the fire was not immediately known.
