News 12's senior reporter Tara Rosenblum provides the latest update on the mysterious disappearance Lauren Spierer, a 20-year-old Westchester native who went missing while away at college over a decade ago.
Spierer was last seen walking barefoot after a night of partying. She never made it home.
On June 3, 2011, Spierer's sister, Rebecca, received an alarming phone call from her sister's boyfriend. The two were attending college together in Bloomington, Indiana.
Lauren’s parents, Robert and Charlene Spierer, immediately dialed the Bloomington Police Department and reported their youngest child missing.
Her disappearance hit the campus hard, especially when a few days into the search, it became clear that Bloomington police didn’t have answers.
