3h agoLocal chefs across Long Island are coming together at Tellers Next Door in Islip to raise funds and awareness for Crescent Duck Farm in Aquebogue.
Crescent Duck Farm's owner had to lay off nearly 50 employees because there was no work.
The fundraising event will support the workers.
"I knew we were very popular in the restaurant community, but I didn't realize the depth of the love they have given us," said Doug Corwin, Owner of Crescent Duck Farm. “I'm a positive person, and we can't do anything but look forward. So hopefully, sometime toward the end of the year, we will be producing ducks again.”
