An expert in forensic science finished testifying Thursday at a hearing over whether DNA evidence will be admissible in the trial of alleged Gilgo Beach killer Rex Heuermann.
She testified that the method in question is effective.
Defense attorney Michael Brown told reporters that he hopes “the court agrees with us and precludes the evidence.”
News 12 asked him if he'd consider pleading guilty if the hearing doesn't go their way.
He responded that they’re going to take this case “one step at a time.”
