A heartbroken daughter was in the courtroom Wednesday as the man accused of beating her Suffolk County mother to death faced a judge.
Duntrell Thomas is now accused of murdering Cheray Jenkins.
It happened on Moriches Drive, where prosecutors say Thomas was allegedly banging on the door of a home before going inside and attacking his victim.
Once inside, prosecutors say Thomas punched the 41-year-old in the head, threw her off the couch onto the ground, and continued to punch and then stomp on her head.
Jenkins was placed on life support following the attack on Feb. 12th, never woke up, and later died from her injuries.
Jenkins family made the choice of donating her organs to help others.
That donation will save the lives of four people.
